SRV
One of the best blues guitarist of all times.
Back in 1984 on July 29, a group of friend’s and I went to Winter Island Park, Salem Mass. to hear and see Stevie Ray Vaughan. This was the “Couldn’t Stand the Weather” tour the day after they played The Channel in Boston.
We were very early and got right up to the rope in front of the stage. When Stevie came out to play it nearly knocked us over. He started with “Voodoo Child a slight return”. It was so good that it made me cry. I have never had that happen to me at a concert before. That is when I realized that I really missed Jimi.
I just found these pictures in my archives and wanted to share them with you.

RIP Stevie. One of the greats. Thanks for sharing these excellent images. Salem Willows? Hats off to you dear brother. His music makes me cry today.
I totally agree Jeff. I can't believe you have these photos, that's awesome. I also can't believe you went to see them. The photos are excellent! Whenever I'm down I go and watch a SRV performance and it always gets me up and going. I relate to his stickers on his guitar the old silver shiny prism style form the 70's. I thought they were so cool, I had them all over my stuff. More please.
